Under new North Carolina law, specially trained Pharmacists are now able to prescribe oral contraceptives or the contraceptive patch to patients who qualify. We are pleased to offer this service to patients 18 years and older (under 18 with parent/guardian). If eligible, your pharmacist will prescribe a 12-month supply of the best birth control option for you. Schedule an appointment today to review your options.
There will be a $40 fee per 30 minute consultation.
The cost of the medication prescribed is not included in this consultation fee. Medication cost depends on your insurance coverage, but many insurance plans cover birth control at a $0 copay.
Note, some consultations may require a referral to a primary care provider per NC law (e.g. blood pressure 140/90 or greater, have active cancer, history of solid organ transplant, on certain medications, etc.).
